I discovered this truth five years ago when I decided to transform my life. At the heart of that transformation was a structured morning routine; a series of personal and spiritual development practices completed in a systematic way, everyday, consistently.

Since then I’ve stopped drinking completely. I’ve lost three stone in weight. I’ve found a new loving relationship. I’ve written and published my first book. I formed a new business. And found peace, fulfilment and happiness I never thought possible.

The goal of the challenge is to equip you with all the structure, tools, and support you need to embed a morning routine that will, over time, result in you fully realising the best version of yourself.

The challenge and suggested routine is guided by the overarching principles found in the Habits of Happiness book. It includes proven techniques to improve everyday happiness, a methodology to develop physical, emotional, mental and spiritual wellbeing over the long term, and a plan of action to bring it all together.

This is a new idea and format designed for small groups of 5 or less. This makes each of the group sessions much more interactive and personalised.

  • The 30-Day Habits of Happiness Morning Routine Challenge is a four week programme.

    The Challenge will officially start on a date that suits you (and your team if you want to bring others along with you). There will be a Kick-off Zoom call to start with. We will agree the most suitable time to hold the call once you’re signed up.

    A week prior to the call you will have access to a learning hub where you will find 7 × 10/15minute videos. An introductory video, a video for each of the 5 practices involved in the routine, and a video on how to create your own personalised routine. The idea is that you watch these videos prior to our Kick-off Zoom meeting so you can ask any questions on the call.

    You’ll learn more about the five practices in the online learning videos. But in essence the routine consists of combining journalling, self reflection, meditation, exercise and learning. You don’t need to have any experience in any of these activities. The routine is designed to support you where you are.

    You will also receive a hard copy of the Journal Workbook. There are a couple of exercises to complete in the workbook before we start. Nothing too complicated. Everything is explained in the videos.

    Allow 2.5 hours to watch all the videos and complete the journal workbook exercises.

    You will start your first morning routine on a Monday to suit you and you will attempt to keep it going every morning for 4 weeks.

    There will be weekly Zoom call check-ins on each Sunday (or which ever day we agree is best for you and your team). These calls allow you to discuss the challenge, share experiences and challenges, and talk about the daily routines.

    The final group Zoom call will be on the final Sunday where we will celebrate the completion of the challenge and discuss where you go from there.

  • We’ll cover this issue as part of the challenge. Time is an issue for virtually everyone. But if you want to invest in your wellbeing you will need to carve out the time to do that.

    I suggest an hour every morning. But it could be as little as 15 minutes. The more you invest, the better the outcome.

    If you are absolutely convinced that you can’t find at least 15 minutes a day to complete the morning routine, then maybe the challenge isn’t right for you just now.

    If you can’t make the weekly Zoom calls, that would be disappointing as I’d like support you and hear how you’re going. We can alter timings to accommodate your busy schedule if required. Again, if this is a problem, maybe the challenge isn’t right for you just now.

  • The 30-Day Habits of Happiness Morning Routine Challenge is for anyone who who feels their life could do with a wellbeing kick start (which is almost all of us at some point).

    Whether you’re a senior executive at a large business or a part-time worker and parent, what I teach is relevant to all. There are no fitness pre-requisites or spiritual practice experience required. We will create a morning routine based on principles that can be adapted to suit your situation.

    This really is open to everyone and relevant to all.

I’ve taken all of my learnings and published the book ‘The Habits of Happiness’ and am now converting some of it into this four week challenge.

    I won’t have all the answers to your wellbeing dilemmas. But I do have vast experience in what it takes to find freedom and fulfilment.

  • I do talk about spirituality quite a lot because I believe there’s a lot to learn from spiritual traditions that we’ve mostly lost in our modern culture.

    However, this particular challenge has been designed to minimise spiritual content. We can expand on some of the spiritual concepts during the Zoom calls if you are curious but it’s not a core part of this challenge.

    Most importantly, this is not a religious programme. It won’t conflict with any beliefs you do or don’t have. All I ask is you come with an open mind to explore new practices that have been proven to be incredibly helpful for millions of people.

  • Obviously, if you are deeply unhappy and disappointed with the challenge, the way it has been designed and the support provided, I will gladly refund your money.

    However, I would urge you to consider what you want to achieve before signing up and paying your money.

    The 30-day challenge isn’t necessarily ‘easy’ or designed to be ‘liked’. It is designed to get results. And that means it requires effort on your part.

    You may find the morning routine a challenge some days; that’s why it’s called a challenge. So before giving up and asking for your money back because the routine doesn’t work, I suggest we have a conversation about your expectations and the real reason you’re disappointed or unhappy with the programme. Then we can decide the right course of action for you. If you still want your money back, that’s absolutely fine.
